What is a prevention agreement?
If your electricity supply is due to be disconnected soon and you want to prevent this from happening, you’ll receive from us an offer of a prevention agreement. This will ensure that you remain connected, while agreeing to make advance payments and clear your outstanding debts free of interest and in instalments.

When will I get a prevention agreement?
We’ll make you an offer of a prevention agreement if your electricity supply is due to be disconnected soon. We’ll notify you of this by post. The letter will contain our offer of a prevention agreement.
How can I set up a prevention agreement?
If you receive a letter from us notifying you that your electricity supply is due be disconnected soon, the letter will also include our offer of a prevention agreement. Sign this offer as soon as possible and return it to us at least one day prior to your scheduled disconnection date. This is the only way to avoid additional costs and prevent disconnection.
